NURS - 97 Basic Life Support
American Heart Association approved CPR course for healthcare providers. This course is for School of Practical Nursing and James Rumsey Technical Institute students and is sponsored by RESA 8. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers is mandatory for all nursing students. No other CPR course (i.e. American Red Cross) is accepted. Nursing students may take the AHA BLS course from other facilities and are not required to take the course offered by the School of Practical Nursing.

NURS - 302 Electrocardiography and Electrophysiology for LPNs
3 CE Hours for WV LPNs
Correct placement of 3-, 5- and 12-lead (left and right sided) EKGs, foundations of electrophysiology and interpretation of EKGs are covered in this 3 hour course. This course goes beyond the basics of a typical LPN program and educates nurses in basic and advanced EKG reading.
